MGB 2 joins the Q1 national earthquake drill

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II joined the first National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill ( NSED) for this year held today, March 10.
Engr. Florentino Bangisan, Jr. said, “We will never know when earthquake will occur. But, we can minimize it its impact thru our knowledge in earthquake safety.”
The NSED was spearheaded by the Office of the Civil Defense to promote earthquake preparedness and disaster resilience.

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II conducted its year-end assessment for its 2021 accomplishments vis-à-vis its targets for the year held last December 9, 2021 at MGB ROII Multi-Purpose Hall.
In the presentation of MGB ROII Planning Officer Diana Imie B. Estrada, informed the body that all targets set for the year 2021 have been accomplished and some posted for a 150 percent accomplishment.
Didipio mine supports national vaccination drive

OceanaGold Philippines Incorporated in Didipio, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya supported the 3-day National Vaccination Drive of the Philippine Government. ‘
Since August 2021, the company supported various vaccination activities in Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino through snacks provisions and distribution of COVID-related IEC materials to recipients of the vaccines and to frontliners.
