Celebrate love by hugging a tree on Valentine’s Day

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II led by RD Mario A. Ancheta supports the Puno ng Pag-Ibig, hug-a-tree campaign and tree growing activity spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region II on Valentine’s Day.

The Tree hugging campaign was initiated by the Forest Management Bureau as part of its campaign in raising awareness on the importance of nurturing the environment and the benefits of tree hugging to the person’s well-being.

MGB ROII Executives and their representatives as well the section chiefs participated in the tree growing and tree hugging activities while other employees conducted roadside cleanup.

The tree growing activity was held at the Rogelio B. Baggayan Nature Park and Wildlife Center.

RD Ancheta said in his message, “This day, let us celebrate love by nurturing our love for our family and for the environment.”
