Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- To further raise information awareness on the highly infectious coronavirus disease and its current safety protocols, Dr. Carlos Cortina, Cagayan Provincial Health Officer III gave a brief discussion to MGB ROII employees held last March 11, 2021.

 

Dr. Caloy informed the participants that most people infected with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness, while some especially those with underlying medical conditions will become seriously ill.

He said that the most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, loss of taste/smell. Sore throat, headaches and diarrhea can also appear to some people.

 

He emphasized that anyone can get the disease and become seriously ill at any age.

 

The Provincial Health Officer said that being well informed is our best defense to slow the transmission of the virus.
