Medical,Dental, Optical services highlights Brgy. Christmas program

Despite the heavy downpour of rain that caused inaccessibility of some roads going to the Barangay Hall, Runruno locals still flocked to the Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall to avail of the the medical,dental and optical services offered as part of the Barangay Runruno Christmas celebration last December 19, 2015.

The services materialized through the concerted efforts of FCF Minerals Corporation, the Department of Health through the Municipal Health Unit of Quezon, the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Runruno, headed by Barangay Captain Dodoy Rafael, who pooled resources to render services to our community residents.

 About 100 residents benefited from the medical mission where most of the common illnesses the patients consulted were upper respiratory tract infection, Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN), musculoskeletal strain, skin allergy, tension headache, vitamin B deficiency, Acute Gastroenteritis, vertigo and Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA).

Moreover, out of 60 patients, 48 were catered for tooth extraction and dental treatment through pasta filling. The 12 patients were not catered due to tooth abscess and high blood pressure during the time of the consultation.

The mission, which is regularly conducted is very challenging this year, mainly because the medical team successfully hurdled the obstacles experienced along some parts of the national road going to the barangay due to erosions caused by the incessant rain during the week.

FCF Minerals committed to provide Php 50, 000.00 worth of medicines for said activity and wished to express its highest appreciation to the medical staffs who spent their time and effort to serve the community of Runruno despite  their busy schedules and the rainy weather condition.
